Every Tigheland shoot is different — different client, different format, different creative. But there’s a core kit we bring to every job, from a one-day social content shoot to a multi-day national commercial. Here’s what’s always on the truck.
Camera Package
We shoot on cinema-grade cameras — the exact choice depends on the project, but we’re always working with tools built for broadcast-quality imagery. The camera is the last thing we choose, not the first. You build around the story and the light, and the camera serves both.
Lenses
Glass matters more than most clients realize. A great lens gives you character, separation, and a look that no amount of post-production can fully replicate. We carry a range of focal lengths for every shoot — wide for context, tight for intimacy, and everything in between depending on what the story calls for.
Lighting
Good lighting is invisible. The goal is never to make something look “lit” — it’s to make it look real, intentional, and beautiful. We build our lighting package around the location, the time of day, and the mood. This is where most of the production value lives, and it’s where we spend the most time in pre-production.
Audio
Bad audio kills good video. We never cut corners on sound — lavaliers, boom mics, a dedicated sound recordist on anything that has dialogue. Audiences will forgive a lot of visual imperfections, but they won’t sit through bad sound.
The Crew
Every piece of gear above is only as good as the person running it. We work with experienced, professional crew on every job — people who’ve been on hundreds of sets and know how to solve problems before they become problems. That experience is what you’re really buying when you hire Tigheland.
